Derek moved to the Emerald Coast as an active duty United States Air Force member stationed at Hurlburt Field in 2014. Prior to that he lived in Boston Massachusetts, obtaining a bachelors degree in Psychology from Assumption College. Post graduation, he entered active duty; being awarded Honor Graduate medal he proceeded with orders to the 823d Red Horse Squadron. While there, Derek served 3 temporary tours of duty stateside, and one humanitarian deployment to the Dominican Republic, constructing three medical clinics and one vocational school for those desperately in need.
Derek began investing in real estate in 2015 with the purchase of his first home using his VA loan. In 2016 he began assisting others invest in real estate when he became a licensed Florida REALTOR working for World Impact Real Estate. In his first year as a part time agent, he sold over 1.5 million dollars of real estate, and helped over 12 airman achieve the accomplishment of their first home. He has studied the real estate market surrounding the bases, observed trends, and guides his clients not as a salesman, but a counselor on the most beneficial decisions they can make in our real estate market.
A United States Air Force active duty veteran as of September 2017, Derek believes the qualities that changed his life derived from military training are transferable skills.
